If policy makers and businesses get it right, linking the physical and digital worlds could generate up to $11.1 trillion a year in economic value by 2025. Our central finding is that the hype may actually understate the full potential—but that capturing it will require an understanding of where real value can be created and a successful effort to address a set of systems issues, including interoperability.

Pillantsunk vissza, hogy mit írt a McKinsey az internetre kapcsolt autókról két évvel ezelőtt!
Az üzlet méretéről: 2020-ra a kapcsolódáshoz szükséges alkatrészek és szolgáltatások éves forgalma 170 milliárd dollárra nő (30 milliárdról).
A vevők igényeiről: 13%-nál szóba se jön olyan új autó, ami nem kapcsolódik az internetre.
Viszont: 37% aggódik a személyes adatai miatt, és 54%-ot aggaszt, hogy bele tudnak piszkálni az autóba az interneten keresztül.
